My Life on the Ocean Wave’ Photography by Ed Dryden
Ed became interested in shipping as a teenager in the early 70s when he regularly accompanied his father, who was coxswain of the Montrose Pilot Boat, escorting coasters and north sea oil vessels in and out of the harbour.
Most of his pictures are taken in the North sea, Aberdeen, Montrose and from the Forth Road Bridge, which is one of his favourite vantage points to observe vessels navigating the river to and from Grangemouth.
